Founded in 1994, Vitamin Angels is one of the most successful charities leading the fight against micronutrient malnutrition. Treating over 24 million children with vitamin A around the world in 2010, Vitamin Angels prides itself on effectively deploying resources and making an impact. As a result they've received the highly coveted four-star rating from Charity Navigator (three times!) and 95% of all expenditures directly support programs in the field.

| Vitamma.com is proud to be partnered with Vitamin Angels in our mission to reduce micronutrient malnutrition. Vitamma was conceived and founded on the notion that by supporting our own personal health we can improve that of children and mothers worldwide. With vitamin A deficiency widely identified as one of the most detrimental, yet easily impacted, public health problems facing mothers and children we chose to join the cause of supplementation intervention. No group could be a more prepared, effective and passionate partner in bringing that concept to reality, than Vitamin Angels. Thanks to their efforts, together we can reach three children with two years worth of vitamin A for each bottle sold - 3TO1. To learn more about vitamin A deficiency visit or Why Vitamin A? page. |
| An International Vitamin A Campaign Operation 20/20 is the flagship program of Vitamin Angels, the objective of which is to reduce child mortality and sickness among the most vulnerable populations, including the underserved and those lacking easy access to facility-based health services. An estimated 190 million children suffer from vitamin A deficency (VAD) but the work done by Operation 20/20 can reduce mortality rates in areas targeted by 23%. Operation 20/20 currently works in 30 countries on three continents, alleviating vitamin A deficiency among infants, children and mothers. The program successfully reached over 24 million children in 2010 and an additional 4 million pregnant and lactating women. Vitamma's social mission is to help Vitamin Angels in their goal of reaching another 30 million children in 2011. With each item you buy we all take a huge step towards that goal, reaching three children with two years worth of vitamin A - that's twelve, twice-yearly doses of vitamin A!
